There is no disaster when you are prepared™
The great outdoors provides an endless tapestry of beauty, wonderment, challenges and threats. Venture out without preparation and skills and you are sure to come back with the tail of a lifetime that is if you are lucky enough to make it back alive. Unfortunately, making it back all too often is worse than the alternative.
As several people close to me have learned the hard way; heading into the great outdoors unprepared can leave you with a lifetime of suffering. Lyme disease is a class A example, so is H. pylori infection which causes peptic ulcers. There are numerous parasites, microorganisms, snakes, spiders, etc. that one encounter with can alter the rest of your life.
So as Will always says, " There is no disaster when prepared ".
Expand and practice your skills, feed your mind, pack your bags and kits, and never venture out without preplanning, studying your target area and letting someone know where you are going.
