There are Two Primary Silver Solutions
Ionic and Colloidal Silver
Silver is a soft, highly conductive, naturally occurring element that is found in several forms both alone and in compound all over the world. Silver is known as a base element because it cannot be "made" by man. It cannot be synthesized therefore it must be found, mined, extracted or otherwise obtained, making it a precious metal.
Silver occurs in metallic form, in a powdery white state identified as silver nitrate or silver chloride, in a powdery black compound identified as silver sulfide or silver oxide. The powdered forms of silver are the most common type found as a cause of ground water contamination. Silver is a stable element, it does not breakdown in solution and will remain in the environment until removed.
Many drinking water supplies in the USA have been found to have silver levels (suspended silver particulate) up to 80 ppb. According to the US CDC water samples taken around the USA had silver levels greater than 30 ppb in between 1/10th and 1/3rd of the samples tested.
