Types of Water Storage Containers
I said on the Sources Page, gathering water should be on the top of the list for your survival. Whether you are at home in normal times, camping, hiking, or worse, you need to make sure that you are exploiting every opportunity to gather, store, and carry

Once you find a viable water source; stream, lake, transpiration, rain water, etc, or from some other collection apparatus, you need to catch the water for storage. The water may have debris in it that needs to be filtered or screened prior to the water making its way to the storage vessel.

Once in the storage vessel the water must be treated in order to keep it from growing algae and also from being contaminated.

Depending upon your situation you may be able to use large stationary containment vessels like in the photos below, or you may need to be mobile with it which demands an entirely different series of possible water stoage devices.
