Types of Water Storage Containers
Once you catch rain water from your roof or from another you will need a means of water storage. The water may have debris in it that needs to be filtered or screened prior to the water making its way to the storage vessel. Once in the storage vessel the water must be treated in order to keep it from growing algae and also from being contaminated.
Water is one of the key elements to the survival of any human.
You cannot carry enough with you to sustain more than a few days. So you must have more than one means of purifying water where ever you go.
As with filtration your water storage and carry amount is directly related to your ability to transport the water. The weight of the water makes it prohibitive for you to physically carry enough water to sustain more than a day or two. If you are traveling by vehicle the amount is limited by the payload space and weight capacity after all of your passengers and other gear are loaded.
