Countless Choices in Distillers
There are many brands and types of distillers. There are table top, stove top, commercial grade home units, commercial distillers, and solar stills.
PracticeSurvival.com’s owner Will has used a Pure Water Society commercial grade home unit for over 30 years. It has been highly dependable, extremely easy to maintain, and highly serviceable.

Water Distillation
Distillation is PracticeSurvival.com’s method of choice for water treatment. The means of distillation varies depending upon the situation; stationary, mobile, on-grid, off-grid, large or small output requirements.
Whatever the conditions and situation the basic principle is the same; taking a liquid with a mixture of chemicals and solids, bring it to its boiling point, separating the chemical that the boiling point corresponds to as vapor, vent off the vapor, direct the vapor into a vessel where it can cool, condense, and then exit into a clear collector vessel for use as the separated chemical, in our case water, though a still works equally well to distill purified alcohol.
