Food Storage to Preparation
Your Health is in Their Hands
Eating at a restaurant, diner or fast food “restaurant” can be a challenge at best and more often than you know, a threat to your health and safety.
There are many things that threaten your health when eating at a restaurant. Most kitchen staff who are handling and preparing your food are paid very low wages. They are often from third world countries. Now I want to make it clear that I welcome all who wish to work hard, assimilate and bring value to our great nation. That said, most of these people come from countries that often don’t have reliable access to running potable water. As a result, their ideas and experience in the methods and complex processes required to provide a healthy, sterile environment and avoid cross contamination or worse is nonexistent. If you couple that with a language barrier you have a recipe for illness.
This series of articles will illuminate numerous issues that you may not even be aware that you encounter, their effect on you and tips on how to eliminate the problems.
