Military Style Bug Out Plans
Will Not Work for Civilians
There are many preppers and survivalists who have developed their bug out plans based upon military style mobilization plans. As in most other instances government approaches and those who have been steeped in them for years rarely metriculate well into the private sector.
Troop and a equipment movements in the military depend on a very structured, command driven plan that depends very heavily upon clear individually prescribed responsibilities and well trained and practiced individuals. The civilian model, even in the best cases, is made up often of part time or volunteers, people who will also have free will. The military has rules and punishments for free will. Free will goes against the basic tenants of the structure.
Alas free will can save us, but it takes a well practiced, well organized group of people who have built and tested a mutual respect and hierachy.
If you expect to survive, especially a bug out, then you should be building or finding a quality group to become part of NOW!
